Gauge

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026

1. Introduction

Gauge ("we," "us," or "our") operates the gauge.fun platform and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our creator marketing platform.

By using Gauge, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information from social login (X/Twitter, TikTok, and/or Instagram username, profile data).
  • Email address for notifications and communications.
  • Content you create and submit for Campaigns.
  • Communication records when you contact support.

2.2 Information from Connected Accounts

When you connect your X (Twitter), TikTok, or Instagram account, we may collect:

  • Publicly available profile information (username, display name, bio, profile image).
  • Content posted.
  • Publicly available engagement metrics associated with your content.

Where you connect an Instagram Business or Creator account, we may additionally collect account and content insights made available to us by Meta — such as reach, impressions, and saves — along with mentions of and tags referencing a Brand's handle in connection with a Campaign. These insights are not publicly visible and are used only for the purposes described in this Policy.

2.3 Automatically Collected Data

  • Device information (IP address, browser type, operating system).
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent).
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies.
  • Log data and error reports.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Platform and your account.
  • Evaluate content submitted for Campaigns.
  • Analyse your posted content and public account activity to build a creator profile and authenticity score.
  • Calculate and distribute Rewards.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, manipulation, and abuse.
  • Communicate service updates and relevant notifications.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the Platform.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Content Analysis and Creator Profiling

Our automated systems evaluate content you submit for Campaigns. We retain content analysis data for dispute resolution and system improvement purposes.

Separately from any Campaign, our automated systems analyse content posted from your Connected Accounts and your public account activity to produce a creator profile and an authenticity score. The score summarises identity verification, content quality, engagement quality, and niche coherence, and is used to help Brands evaluate creators and to detect inauthentic activity. It reflects these signals rather than audience size.

The score is one input among others. It does not by itself determine whether you may use the Platform or participate in a Campaign, and Brands make their own selection decisions. You may contact us at privacy@gauge.fun to request an explanation of your score, to contest it, or to object to this profiling.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 Service Providers

We share data with third parties who help operate the Platform, including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics and monitoring services, payment processing providers, and customer support tools.

We also receive data from the social media platforms you connect. Where you connect an Instagram account, Meta Platforms acts as an independent controller of that data and its processing is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. Data we receive from Meta is handled in accordance with this Policy and the Meta Platform Terms.

5.2 Brand Partners

When you participate in Campaigns, Brands may receive:

  • Your public creator profile and username.
  • Content you submit for their Campaigns.
  • Engagement metrics for your Campaign content.

5.3 Your Public Creator Report

When a profiling run completes, we publish a creator report to a public page at gauge.fun under your social handle. The report contains your profile image, display name, handle, authenticity score and its breakdown, and summary figures drawn from your public account activity. It does not include the text of your posts or our written analysis. The page is accessible to anyone who visits its address, and may be indexed by search engines or displayed as a link preview when shared. Re-profiling replaces the published report. To have your report unpublished, contact us at privacy@gauge.fun.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information to comply with legal process or government requests, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect rights, safety, or property, or in connection with business transfers or acquisitions.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account data: Until you delete your account, plus any required retention periods.
  • Campaign and content data: 3 years.
  • Usage logs: 2 years.
  • Payment records: As required by applicable tax and financial reporting laws.

You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Deletion requests are subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Object to processing or request restriction.
  • Data portability (receive your data in machine-readable format).
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@gauge.fun.

7.1 Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of the data we hold about you, including data obtained from a Connected Account, by emailing privacy@gauge.fun with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and the username of the account concerned. You can also disconnect a social account at any time from your Gauge account settings, which stops any further collection from that platform. We action verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to the legal retention requirements described in Section 6, and confirm by email once complete.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for session management and authentication, remembering your preferences, analytics and performance monitoring, and security and fraud prevention.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

8.1 Do Not Track

We honor Do Not Track browser signals and do not track users who have enabled this preference.

8.2 Analytics

We use analytics services to understand Platform usage. You may opt out of analytics tracking through your browser or device settings.

9. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls and authentication requirements, regular security monitoring, and incident response procedures.

While we strive to protect your data, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and Connected Accounts.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your jurisdiction. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.

11. Children's Privacy

Gauge is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.

12. Third-Party Links and Platforms

The Platform integrates with third-party social media platforms including X (Twitter), TikTok, and Instagram (Meta Platforms). Your use of these platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms or websites linked from the Service.

13. Additional Features

Certain features of the Platform may be subject to supplementary privacy notices. These will be presented to you before you access the relevant features.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or Platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates when the policy was last updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
